Joint Connection class
Prior to surgery, the Shannon Orthopedic Center encourages all knee and hip replacement patients to attend The Joint Connection class. This educational session provides vital information to assist patients in their journey before, during and after surgery. It includes information on what to plan for and expect before surgery, the various areas that the patient will visit within the hospital, and how to continue care once you return home. It also provides education for those who will be helping care for the patient at home to better understand the entire treatment process. The class is taught by our interdisciplinary team so that the patient may meet everyone who will be involved in their care at the center. The goal is to provide you with as much information in advance so that you can relax and feel stress-free during your stay with us.
