What is a “Resident” Doctor?

A Resident is a doctor who has graduated from an accredited medical school and has earned the degree of Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO). Shannon partnered with Texas A&M School of Medicine to create the first Family Medicine Residency Program in the Concho Valley to help develop the skills and expertise of these physicians. Residents are supervised by our experienced, board certified physicians. Our physicians work closely with our residents and patients through each step of care from diagnosis through treatment.
