Frank Baeza, MD

Dr. Baeza received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Angelo State University. He then went on to receive his medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico.

His passion has always centered on providing the best possible care to all his patients. From working and advocating at a local public hospital in Mexico to serving as a medical observer for a pediatric cardiologist, these experiences shaped his belief that medicine is not only about treating illness, but also about showing compassion, empathy, and making patients feel seen, heard, and comfortable during vulnerable moments.

He is a member of the American College of Physicians. In his free time, Dr. Baeza enjoys golf competitions, backgammon, and reading.

Casey Faichtinger, DO

Dr. Faichtinger received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton. She then went on to complete her Medical Degree from Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Huntsville.

Originally from Texas, Dr. Faichtinger has a long-standing history of serving others through roles as a teaching assistant, peer tutor, student mentor, and outreach volunteer across various departments at Sam Houston State University. Additionally, she volunteered at Special Pals Animal Shelter in Houston where she helped create a happy, healthy environment for both rescue animals and people.

Dr. Faichtinger is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Student American Academy of Osteopathy, Student Osteopathic Medical Association, and Texas Medical Association, and Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society.

In her free time. Dr. Faichtinger enjoys canning vegetables from her garden, making kolaches, and boating with her family and pets.

Sofia Ares Muzquiz, MD

Dr. Muzquiz received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio before earning her medical degree from UT Health San Antonio Long School of Medicine.

Originally from South Texas, Dr. Muzquiz is passionate about serving underserved and Spanish-speaking communities through compassionate, patient-centered care. As a trained medical Spanish interpreter, she has focused on improving communication and cultural competency for Spanish-speaking patients. She also volunteered with the Student Collaborative Practice in San Antonio, helping provide care to vulnerable populations. In recognition of her commitment to community health, she received a Blue Ribbon Award for her work in diabetes prevention and education among South Texas youth.

Throughout medical school, Dr. Muzquiz served in multiple leadership and mentorship roles through the Latino Medical Student Association, Veritas Peer Advising Program, and Student Progression Mentor Program. She also founded the Medical Spanish Program at UT Health San Antonio to help improve Spanish proficiency and cultural competency among medical students.

In her free time, Dr. Muzquiz enjoys thrifting, finding unique vintage pieces, and spending time with family and friends. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Sharri Noyan, MD

Dr. Noyan received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the City University of New York Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn. She then went on to receive her medical degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine Grand Cayman in Cayman Islands.

She has extensive experience in high-pressure environments, serving as a COVID-19 Project Manager for Krucial Staffing in Houston where she mobilized nurses and respiratory therapists to understaffed hospitals. She also worked as a board-certified senior medical scribe at City MD in Brooklyn, an experience that strengthened her medical knowledge and deepened her commitment to compassionate patient care.

In her free time, Dr. Noyan enjoys reading, music, and traveling.

Dr. Noyan is fluent in English and Jamaican Patois.

Martin Orta, Jr.

Dr. Orta received his Medical Degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro Facultad de Medicina in Mexico.

Through a wide range of service experiences, Dr. Orta strives to provide compassionate, well-rounded care for his future patients. As a Spanish medical interpreter at Children’s Health in Dallas, he helped Spanish-speaking families navigate the healthcare system. He also served at Agape Clinic in Dallas, a clinic dedicated to serving families facing limited access to care. His commitment to underserved communities also led him to volunteer in the jungles of the Huasteca Potosina region in Mexico, where he gained firsthand experience delivering care in resource-limited areas.

In his free time, Dr. Orta enjoys biking, basketball, and cooking. A native Texan, Dr. Orta is fluent in English and Spanish.

Ryan Rule, MD

Dr. Rule received both his Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in College Station. He then went on to complete his Medical Degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados.

Dr. Rule has a strong commitment to community-centered care, demonstrated through his service as a medical student volunteer in Barbados, where he provided screenings and patient education to underserved populations. He also gained clinical experience as a wound care technician at College Station Medical Center, where he developed skills that focused on individualized patient healing techniques. Dr. Rule also published a peer-reviewed article in Cureus Journal of Medical Medicine on nonoperative approaches to bone lesions.

Originally from the Lone Star State, Dr. Rule enjoys participating in rodeo events such as team roping and calf roping, riding horses, and tending to cattle.

Michael Vaughan, MD

Dr. Vaughan, a Texas native, received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. He also completed a Master’s degree with academic excellence recognition in Biomedical Science from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Dr. Vaughan then went on to receive his medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Louisiana Campus.

He has a long-standing history of volunteering and service, including serving as a graduate and medical student ambassador for Liberty University, volunteering to support pediatric patients at Cook Children’s Medical Center, and mentoring and tutoring at-risk youth through Hope Farm in Fort Worth.

In his free time, Dr. Vaughan enjoys playing ice hockey and supporting his favorite team – the Dallas Stars. Dr. Vaughan also enjoys cooking for his family, a reminder that his work ultimately helps patients return to the people they love the most.
