San Angelo is a small city of approximately 88,400 people, located in Tom Green County in West Texas. San Angelo's climate, recreation opportunities, schools and low crime rate have earned it the moniker of "Pearl of the Concho." San Angelo enjoys warm summers and mild winters.
San Angelo enjoys three recreational lakes and a developed river walk along the Concho River, which flows through downtown San Angelo. Recreational activities include boating, fishing and water skiing. Some of the best deer, turkey and quail hunting in Texas is found in San Angelo.
Professional sports include rodeo at the annual Stock Show and Rodeo, the San Angelo Colts with the North American League, and a professional arena football team, the San Angelo Bandits.
Air travel is available at Mathis Field on American Eagle and private aircraft.
