About Provider Ou

Born to Taiwanese parents in Southern California, Dr. Ou grew up in the remote West Texas towns of Fort Stockton and Odessa. He played football, basketball and ran track before graduating a year early from Odessa High School.

He then completed his family practice residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

Formerly a professor with the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Dr. Ou has extensive clinical experience in family medicine, obstetrics, hospital care and emergency medicine.

He and his wife, Jonie Huang, MD, have been married for 26 years. They have four children together, and one dog named Beefy.
