Shannon Nationally Recognized for Excellence in Cardiovascular Care

Shannon has received multiple awards from the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association for continued dedication to research-based, high-quality care for stroke, heart attack, heart failure and diabetes patients.

Shannon received the NCDR Chest Pain – MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award from the American College of Cardiology for the fifth consecutive year. To receive this, Shannon demonstrated sustained achievement in the Chest Pain – MI Registry for more than two consecutive years and performed at the highest level for specific performance measures. This shows Shannon’s commitment to implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients and indicates that Shannon has reached a goal of treating these patients according to American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association clinical guidelines and recommendations.

Shannon has also received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® achievement awards for demonstrating a commitment to following up-to-date, research-based guidelines for the treatment heart disease and stroke, helping save lives, support recovery and reduce hospital readmissions.

As a participant in AHA’s Get With The Guidelines® and Mission: Lifeline® programs, Shannon qualified for these awards by demonstrating a commitment to quality care by following the latest evidence-based treatment guidelines for heart disease and stroke, ultimately leading to shorter recovery times and fewer readmissions to the hospital.
