Inpatient Services

Our specialized center is a 22-bed regional inpatient psychiatric facility that provides comprehensive mental health services for adults and senior adults experiencing emotional or behavioral problems. We strive to stabilize the patient in crisis, diagnose the disorder, and develop an individualized plan that meets each patient’s needs. Our goal is to help each patient return to the highest quality of life possible in a secure, comfortable, and therapeutic environment.

Admission Process

The admission process is confidential and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We encourage referring physicians to visit the center, and we strive to keep you fully informed of a patient’s progress throughout the entire treatment period. For your convenience, our assessment staff is available to assist you and your staff with inquiries and assessments.

Each patient has a private room with access to community areas for daily activities. Treatment options, including individual psychotherapy and group psychotherapy, play an integral role in helping patients live fulfilling and productive lives while encouraging a sense of competency and hope. In order to meet the specialized needs of each patient, we are pleased to offer two programs: the Adult Psychiatric Program and the Senior Adult Psychiatric Program.

Adult Psychiatric Program

Our Adult Psychiatric Program is located at the Shannon St. John’s campus. The program provides patients with ways to successfully cope with life’s challenges, facilitate recovery, and build resilience. Our program is designed to provide treatment for individuals who:

  • Are anxious or depressed
  • Have mood or behavioral disorders
  • Have thought disturbances and other emotional difficulties
  • Have attempted suicide or are considered a suicide risk
  • Exhibit assaultive behavior due to a psychiatric diagnosis
  • Are a threat to others

Senior Adult Psychiatric Program

Our Senior Adult Program is for persons 65 years of age and older who are experiencing issues such as:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Assaultive behavior as a result of a psychiatric disorder or dementia disorder
  • Non-compliance with prescribed medical health regimes due to concurrent psychiatric illness

We also offer an aftercare program to ensure support once the patient is discharged. Our multidisciplinary team is composed of an array of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, activities therapists, and licensed professional counselors. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, TriCare, and most insurance plans for your convenience.
