Bruce Leibert, MD

About Provider Leibert

Dr. Bruce Leibert is a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, husband to Jan, a wonderful Dutch lady, father to 3 adult children and grandpa to 3 grandchildren. Dr. Leibert joins the Shannon Family Medicine Residency Program from the valley of Texas with over 30 years for family medicine residency program directorship and 40 years of taking care of patients of all ages.

He graduated with a bachelor’s from Notre Dame and his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine before joining the United States Army. Dr. Leibert is a decorated soldier most notably with the Bronze Star (Persian Gulf War) and the Military Family Physician of the Year (1992). He is a dedicated teacher of medicine to residents, medical students, and nurse practitioner students from 2 universities. Dr. Leibert serves his community and his love of the arts with directing community theaters, as an author, actor and musician.

Dr. Leibert is excited to share in our vision and passion of training the next generation of physicians to serve in rural Texas and the Concho Valley
