Registration is open for the 21st annual Gus Eckhardt Trauma Symposium, “A Legacy of Trauma Care in the Concho Valley,” slated for Saturday, May 4, starting at 8:00 a.m. at the West Texas Training Center (3501 US Highway 67, San Angelo). Sponsored by Shannon Medical Center, the Trauma Symposium provides continuing education for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, EMTs and paramedics looking to enhance their knowledge of caring for and managing trauma patients.
The Trauma Symposium is a one-day intensive program detailing accepted guidelines for management of trauma patients. Attendance will provide access to continuing medical education for physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers and offer a forum for discussion related to caring for trauma patients. 7.25 contact hours will be offered for nurses. Registration is open to the first 200 registrants.
Shannon Medical Center is an approved provider of continuing professional development by the New Mexico Nurses Association, and an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
