The White Rose Support Group at Shannon is hosting a free, five-part session titled “Grieving the Child I Never Knew.”
These sessions are designed to explore commonly identified grief issues related to an early pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or newborn death for parents and family members while giving them permission to be who they are and where they are in their journey. Whether the attendee has suffered a loss recently or long ago, “Grieving the Child I Never Knew” will be an opportunity for insight, sharing, encouragement, healing, and hope inside of the pain of their loss.
Session topics include: Hiding, January 13; Suffering and Questioning, January 20; Forgiving, January 27; Relating and Seeking, February 3; Sharing Your Story, February 17
Sessions are from 6-7:30 pm at First Christian Church, 29 N. Oakes St., San Angelo. Part 1 sessions are for those who have not attended before. Part 2 sessions are for those who have previously attended and would like additional support.
Each session is free of charge and will be facilitated by JT Tucker, Shannon Chaplain and Robyn Tucker, RN, White Rose Coordinator. JT has worked with individuals and families in the area of bereavement for over 20 years in a pastoral and clinical setting and as a Chaplain for hospice. Robyn has worked as a labor and delivery nurse and serves in the role of bereavement coordinator for families who have experienced perinatal loss.
