Adam Stephens, MD – Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery
Dr. Stephens earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He then completed an internship and residency in general surgery at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, followed by a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Dr. Stephens then served as a faculty instructor in Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery and Congenital Heart Surgery at Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin. He returned to Houston to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Thoracic and Congenital Heart Surgery at Texas Children’s Hospital – Baylor College of Medicine, and held a faculty instructor position there.
Dr. Stephens is certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery in Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery and Pediatric Cardiothoracic and Congenital Heart Surgery, and the American Board of Surgery.

Katherine Lopez, APRN, FNP-BC – OB/GYN
Katherine earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Practitioner Studies from Angelo State University. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board, and has over ten years of experience providing care in acute care, family practice, women’s health and postpartum care settings.

Pranay Vekaria, MSN, APRN, PMHNP – Psychiatry
Pranay earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Maniba Bhula Nursing College in India, and his Master of Science in Nursing Education from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana. He subsequently completed his postgraduate certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Purdue University Global in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Pranay previously served as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Odessa College in Odessa, Texas, and has over 7 years of experience providing psychiatric care to patients of all ages.

John Ritter, MD – Radiology
Dr. Ritter earned his undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York, and his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. He then completed his diagnostic radiology residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, and his fellowship in neuroradiology from the Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut.
Dr. Ritter is a veteran of the United States Army. He is certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Neuroradiology by the American Board of Radiology, and previously served as Assistant Professor of Radiology and Radiological Services at Uniformed Services University for Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland.
