Exercise and Education Programs Focused on Endurance, Strength, Balance and a Healthy Lifestyle

Moving Well is a physician-referred exercise program intended to help individuals incorporate physical activity as part of a healthy lifestyle to promote health improvement. Our certified professional fitness trainers will safely guide participants through 8 weeks of exercise class programming specifically designed for an individual’s health condition and needs. Moving Well classes focus on improving cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, balance, and a healthy lifestyle. The Moving Well program offers participants the motivation and accountability needed to make exercise part of a lifetime commitment. During each class, we will help you navigate through the gym environment and safely learn how to use the fitness equipment as we supervise and guide you during each class session. Moving Well provides the support needed to help participants build confidence with their exercise routine and work towards exercising independently in a gym setting.

Moving Well is designed for:

  • Sedentary individuals who want to begin an exercise program
  • Individuals who have been diagnosed with chronic disease such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, joint pain, cancer or osteopenia/osteoporosis
  • Individuals who have recently completed cardiac rehab or physical therapy
  • Individuals who are not comfortable exercising on their own in a gym setting

Moving Well is an eight-week program featuring:

  • 2 small group exercise/education sessions per week (16 total sessions)
  • Individualized exercise in a small group setting
  • Pre-and post-program fitness assessments
  • Social support and accountability
