Swedish Massage

Known as the “classic” massage – uses five styles of long, flowing strokes to manipulate the muscles. Swedish massage has shown to be helpful in reducing pain, joint stiffness, and improving function in patients with osteoarthritis. It has also been shown to be helpful in individuals with poor circulation.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point work is specifically designed to alleviate the source of the pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release. In this type of massage, the recipient actively participates through deep breathing as well as identifying the exact location and intensity of the discomfort. The result of trigger point massage is the elimination of toxins in the muscles and the release of energizing endorphins.

Sports Massage

Sports massage was originally developed to help athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a big event, or function well during training. Sports massage emphasizes prevention and healing of injuries to the muscles and tendons.

Cupping Massage

By creating suction and negative pressure, massage cupping therapy is used to soften tight muscles and tone attachments, loosen adhesions and lift connective tissue. Cupping also increases blood flow to body tissues and helps release toxins by opening lymphatic pathways.

Reflexology Massage

Reflexology is the practice of applying pressure to the feet and hands utilizing specific thumb, finger and hand techniques without the use of oil, cream or lotion based on a system of zones and reflex areas that reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands with a premise that such work effects a physical change in the body.

Pregnancy Massage

Designed for the mother-to-be, a Pregnancy Massage relieves muscle spasms and cramps associated with the stress of extra weight bearing and physical changes that occur during pregnancy. Pregnancy massage also helps reduce stress and teaches a mother to relax, which is important during labor and delivery.
