The race is online

It's time for the 13th annual Shannon Pink Ribbon Run. This fun, family event helps raise awareness of early detection for breast cancer and celebrates those in our community who have bravely fought and survived this disease. It also helps raise funds to help local patients in their battle against this disease with the latest advancements in treatment and detection.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's Pink Ribbon Run will be a virtual event. On Saturday, Oct. 3, participants will complete their preferred distance on their own or with their close friends and family. Shannon will provide maps of available routes, or participants can choose their own route in their neighborhood.

Everyone who completes their walk or run by midnight on Saturday, Oct. 3, will be entered in a drawing for various prizes, including Academy gift cards and merchandise from local merchants. Participants can enter the drawings by submitting their completion times or photos on Facebook or Instagram tagged with #2020PinkRibbonRun.

All participants will receive a Pink Ribbon Run t-shirt and swag bag. Those who register by Friday, Sept. 25, can receive their shirt and packet by mail (with additional shipping) or at our drive-thru packet pick up event on Friday, Oct. 2. Late registration is also available, but shirts may not be ready by Oct. 2. All breast cancer survivors are invited to participate at no cost. We also have an option to sponsor a survivor for an additional $10 donation this year. Thank you to all who support this important cause and our community.
