The San Angelo Clubhouse is a non-profit organization that empowers adults living with mental illness to reclaim their purpose through meaningful work, social connection and professional growth. Shannon supports their work through community event collaborations, providing opportunities for Clubhouse members to connect and share resources with patients, and advocating for mental health services so that no one faces mental health alone.

Howard College is a community college dedicated to providing quality higher education and enriching the lives of west Texans. With a local campus in San Angelo, Howard provides a variety of programs to support career development and our future workforce. Shannon closely collaborates with Howard’s healthcare curriculum programs by funding faculty for the LVN program, providing clinical spaces and hands-on opportunities for learning and helping Howard students fund their education through the Margaret Shannon Educational Assistance program.

Shannon partners closely with Reagan Elementary on their annual Kids' Marathon event to encourage students to form healthy exercise habits early in life.

Shannon Medical Center empowers the community by providing the knowledge, tools and support needed to stay informed and protected on the most relevant health and safety issues of the moment. They host prevention and education events, partner with the the Safe Kids Coalition to enhance awareness around car seat safety, bicycle safety and water safety for children and offer hands-on CPR training for high school students.
